Consultant Has a 'Neutral' to 'Lower' Bias Toward Crops

June 18, 2013 10:00 AM

Crop consultant Dr. Michael Cordonnier has left his corn and soybean crop estimates unchanged from last week. But he says the longer soybean planting lingers the more uncomfortable he becomes with his projection that planted soybean acreage will be 750,000 more than USDA's March intentions projection. For now, he is leaving his corn and soybean crop estimates unchanged at 13.26 billion bu. and 3.26 billion bu., respectively, but says he has a neutral to lower bias toward the crops.
