A portion of the country is experiencing “cooler” temperatures, but it may not last for long.
“We have another cold front coming into the West Coast. Most of this cold front is moving off-shore of the Carolina [states],” says Hoffman. “There will be the hit-and-miss afternoon variety thunderstorms continuing to develop in those areas.”
Hoffman says some areas will see warmer temperatures by the weekend.
“The ridge tries to come back and bring the heat by this weekend in the Northern Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes,” says Hoffman. “It’s cut off again in the Northern States with that next trough digging in.”
