Corn Inspections Slip Compared to Week- and Year-Ago

Following are highlights of the Weekly Grain Efxport Inspections Report for the week ended July 12, 2012:

Comments:

Inspections were 1.643 million bu. below last week's tally. Inspections are running 12.2% behind year-ago, compared to 11.6% behind last week. USDA's 2011-12 export forecast is at 12.8% below the previous marketing year at 1.600 billion bushels.

Wheat

Comments:

Inspections were near in line with last week's tally. Inspections are running 20.0% below year-ago, compared to 19.5% behind last week. USDA's export forecast for the 2012-13 marketing year is at 1.200 billion bu., up 14.5% from the previous marketing year.

Soybeans

Comments:

Export inspections were around 4.9 million bu. below last week's tally. Inspections for the new marketing year are running 12.9% below year-ago, compared to 13.7% below last week. USDA's 2011-12 export forecast is at 1.340 billion bu., down 10.7% from year-ago.
