Corn, Soybean & Wheat Export Inspections Disappoint

Following are highlights of the Weekly Grain Export Inspections Report for the week ended Sept. 6, 2012:

Comments:

Inspections were around 1.1 million bu. above last week's tally but well below expecations. Inspections are running 61.7% behind year-ago. USDA's 2012-13 export forecast is at 16.1% below the previous marketing year at 1.300 billion bushels.

Wheat

Comments:

Inspections were 5.86 million bu. below last week's tally and just short of expectations. Inspections are running 12.1% below year-ago, compared to 13.9% behind last week. USDA's export forecast for the 2012-13 marketing year is at 1.200 billion bu., up 14.3% from the previous marketing year.

Soybeans

Comments:

Export inspections were about 2.6 million bu. below last week's tally and below expectations. Inspections for the new marketing year are running 7.2% below year-ago. USDA's 2012-13 export forecast is at 1.110 billion bu., down 17.8% from year-ago.
