Cotton, Dairy Demand Change in Next Farm Bill

Congress is furiously working to finish several important resolutions before 2017 comes to an end, including an $81 billion disaster aid package.

Included in that measure are changes to the cotton and dairy safety nets. It adds cotton seed to the list of commodities eligible for Title One crop payments.

If it doesn’t happen, cotton and dairy will continue working to see changes in the next farm bill.
