Could RFS Get a Possible Rewrite?

Continued demand for corn is an important part of future prices, and one of the keys is using the grain for fuel.

On Tuesday, Politico reported a bipartisan group of lawmakers is starting to talk about updating the Renewable Fuels Standard.

So far, the report says ethanol and oil industry leaders have met with lawmakers, however, automakers have not.

Lawmakers say they realize any reforms are going to be hard to come by.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) says changes to the RFS will be on the house docket during this congressional session.
