Country Church Salute: St. Peter's Catholic Church

October 17, 2016 01:37 PM

This week’s Country Church Salute goes to St. Peter’s Catholic church in Elizabeth, Ind.

The church was founded by German Catholics in the area, with the first mass in 1833.

The congregation has been in a few different church buildings over the years because previous ones had burned.

Today, the church holds the title of the only church in southern Harrison County.

Thank you go Greg Dennis for sharing the story.
