Crop Tour: Early Minnesota Samples Showing Promise, Signs of Weather Damage

Nearing the end of the 2016 ProFarmer Crop Tour, scouts have made it to Minnesota.


 

 

 

 

While early samples were strong, there was evidence of damage from frost ...

 

 

... and hail ...

 

 

... and in bean fields, white mold.

 

 

But other scouts were more optimistic.

 

 

 

 

 

By noon, scouts were beginning to compile averages.

 

 

As we near the end of a week the scouts are finding strong, but not record breaking samples, as USDA predicted. This tweet sums it up nicely.
