“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” This well-known quote from Benjamin Franklin serves as an advantageous business tip for the coming year.
Farmers will see opportunities in 2017, even with continued tight margins and compressed grain prices. Learn how to avoid business dangers and cash in on those opportunities at Top Producer Seminar, which runs Jan. 24-27 in Chicago.
As the first speaker on Wednesday, Jan. 25 Mark Jensen, vice president and chief risk officer of Farm Credit Services of America, will share his thoughts on how farmers can profit in the years ahead. His presentation is titled, “Risk and Rewards: A Roadmap for Your Farm in 2017.”
Jensen has more than 20 years of agricultural lending experience. In his current role, he provides leadership to the credit, risk management and appraisal teams that support sales, service and strategic planning activities. He was raised on a dairy farm in southeast Nebraska.
