Drought Outlook's Footprint Expands

The National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center (CPC) has updated its Seasonal Drought Outlook, in which it signals drought will remain intact throughout the Midwest growing season.

"Dryness and drought have been increasing both in extent and intensity across much of the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys, the Corn Belt region, the middle and lower Mississippi Valley, and much of the Great Plains," it states.
