Editor's Notebook: Our New Look on the Web

August 27, 2010 10:20 AM

Do you want to dig deeper behind the information that is provided in the pages of Beef Today, read current reports by market analysts or just connect with other cattle producers? Check out our recently updated Web site: www.BeefToday.com.

There you will find news, market analysis and production information specific to cattle producers as well as the latest global news headlines. In addition, you will still find blogs from Steve Cornett, Max Thornsberry and others.

With the new site, you’ll have an opportunity to comment on blogs, news and production stories. I hope that you will use this new tool to share information and let us know how industry news and issues are impacting your business.

In the Current Issue section, you will have access to the stories that appear in the magazine, as well as bonus content for additional tools and information.

A new feature on the site is called “Hot Links & Cool Tools.” There you will find “Ask a Vet” and “Ask a Nutritionist,” where you can send in your questions and ideas for topics you would like to have more information on. We’ll also be adding other timely tools, such as calculators for retained ownership, stocking rates, comparing feedstuff options and more.

In the “Top Discussions” area, you can access discussion boards to talk with other producers about management, marketing and policies affecting your business, or just read what others are saying.

Along with the new features on the Beef Today site, you can directly access AgWeb.com, Farm Journal Media’s Web portal to markets, news and ag information.

Take time to look around the site and let us know what you think.
