Engine Usage Expansion

February 27, 2009 07:16 AM

Deutz Ag will be supplying state-of-the-art, four-cylinder tractor engines from its 2012 series (tier 3) with power outputs ranging from 62 to 75kW over the coming years. The delivery of an additional 10,000 engines to the Treviglio-based Same Deutz-Fahr Group (SDF) will continue until the year 2011.

As part of the agreement, SDF will discontinue engine production at its plant in Italy and continue to produce engines in India for the domestic Indian market and for low-range
tractors, making Deutz the exclusive supplier of engines to SDF. This agreement with Deutz will almost double the number of engines supplied.
