The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will tomorrow announce whether the agency will grant the request from Texas for a 50% waiver of the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) mandate.

Texas in April requested the waiver, citing negative impacts to its livestock industry and other sectors of the economy.

EPA was to have made the decision in July, but announced it was going to take additional time to assess comments received on the Texas request and would make a decision in "early August."
