Equipment Association gets in on Stimulus Act(ion)

November 11, 2008 11:16 AM

The North American Equipment Dealers Association joins four other associations in calling on Congress to extend a section of the Economic Stimulus Act. The other associations are the American Rental Association, Associated Equipment Distributors, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers and the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association. Collectively, the group seeks to prolong the time period of incentives for capital investment. Scheduled to expire on Dec. 31, 2008, the law provides for 50% bonus depreciation and increased expensing levels in Section 179. The call to action is asking for a one-year extension of the benefits.
