Executive Women in Agriculture: Stay Connected on Facebook

December 5, 2011 10:00 PM
Women who attended Top Producer’s Executive Women in Agriculture conference in Chicago, Ill., have an opportunity to continue networking even once they leave the windy city. A "secret group" on Facebook has been created to allow the women to continue to build on the relationships they started while at the two day event.
"Secret Groups" are a tool most often used by companies on Facebook. Small companies and organizations who work from remote office and seek to collaborate use the groups frequently. Individuals share information in an environment that encourages collaboration and feels intimate which makes the platform unique. Users feel like they are chatting with "close friends" and best of all it is a private conversation. Content contributed in a "secret group" is not posted to your profile or newsfeed. It is only viewable by the other individuals who have been personally invited.
We hope that this will provide top growers who happen to be women, a chance to continue networking. If you attended the conference and haven’t been invited to the group, or if you have questions about using social platforms please contact me via email.
