Farm Report: Planting Conditions Across the Midwest

What planting conditions are you seeing?

Today on AgDay, Mike Hoffman takes us to Waterloo, Iowa, where we see "the first of many sunsets from the tractor," says Brent Judisch. Brent started planting this week, but according to the latest USDA Crop Progress report, very little corn planting has occurred in the Midwest. 

In northwestern Indiana, Brian Roberts is installing irrigation pipe this week because conditions are too cold and wet to start planting.

  Planted corn today and the dust just rolled. Field tiles at a trickle. An inch of rain is needed badly!
