A farmworker died in a grain bin accident in central Illinois.

Investigators say the man died after becoming buried in corn while working inside a grain bin in Morrisonville.

61-year-old David L. Lowis was pronounced dead at the scene.

The county coroner says first responders had to cut a hole in the grain bin to get to Lowis, but he died after being submerged in corn.

An autopsy shows he died from suffocation after falling into the bin.
