In their 2017 Prospective Plantings Report released on Friday, USDA reported farmers intend to plant a record high 89.5 million acres of soybeans. That number is up 7% from last year. Compared with last year,  planted acreage intentions are up or unchanged in 27 of the 31 estimating States, USDA reports.

What do farmers and traders think about that news? Many took to Twitter to express their reaction.

Some are skeptical that all of the acres farmers said they intend to plant in soybeans will actually be harvested in soybeans.

With this report out of the way, some are turning their attention to the weather.
