Farmers Used Rally As Opportunity To Drain Elevator Space

The grain market is dipping in the red after a string of trading sessions which put it in the green.

When markets rallied earlier in the week, it prompted some farmers to finally sell the grain they’ve had in storage.

AgDay national reporter Betsy Jibben has the story from Leesburg, Indiana. She talks with Meredith Miller with the Clunette Elevator in the town.

  This tells you how low prices have been whwn farmers were willing to hold unpriced grain in commercial storage when money is needed.The farmers as a whole are poor marketers but the prices were so low we were selling at losses.
