Cash flow and margin potential is likely to driving planting decisions in 2017.

In a new report, Informa Economics released its 2017 acreage forecast, pegging planted soybean acreage at 88.6 million acres. This would not only be a record, but also a 6 percent jump from 2016.

These additional soybean acres will need to be managed wisely in the spring. Missy Bauer, a Farm Journal agronomist, lays out the timing of early season treatments.
