February 12, 2011 12:49 AM

With two free 90-minute seminars, the Farm Journal Field Agronomists will you give take to the field agronomic tips at the National Farm Machinery Show. Taking place Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. and Friday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. in Room 105 in South Wing B, the Corn College Tune Up seminars are presented by Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie and Missy Bauer.

Due to the challenges of 2010 corn production, the agronomic duo will give farmers the top tips for nitrogen management in the next crop year. They will detail nitrogen products: ammonia, ammonium, urea, and nitrate. And the agronomists will provide their field experience with nitrogen application success as well as products that slow the loss of nitrogen.

To help you fine tune your performance in the field, they’ll give you the fundamentals to farm by the foot with management zones. Ferrie and Bauer will cover how to create management zones, refine them with information from the field, and new technologies to help you take yields to the next level.

These seminars are sponsored by: AgriGold, Great Plains Manufacturing and SFP.
