Gas and Diesel Weekly: Farm Diesel Pricey, Highway Fuels Below Year-ago

Farm Diesel --nozzle

Farm diesel moved $0.009 lower during the report week to $3.401/gallon according to Inputs Monitor data with five of the twelve states in our Index unchanged. The price at the same time last year was $3.15, a full quarter below today's price.

Ohio led decliners by dropping 8 cents to $3.41. Iowa shucked 4 cents from the staewide average price to $3.28, and Minnesota rounds out the top three decliners softening 2 cents to $3.43/gallon.

The largest gain was a 3 cent bump in South Dakota to $3.37 and a 2 cent increase in Indiana to $3.51.

Gasoline-

The retail price for regular gasoline fell 8 cents during the report week to a national average of $3.496/.gallon.

All llocations moved lower and all locations are below year-ago pricing. East coast fell 4 cents to $3.463; Midewest gasoline fell 15 cents to $3.394; Gulf Coast down 6 1/2 cents to $3.312; Rocky Mountain down 3 cents to $3.640 and West Coast gasoline drops 5 1/2 cents to $3.892.

Highway Diesel --

The national average price of highway diesel fell 2 cents to $3.817.

East Coast fell 2 cents to $3.817; Midwest 3 cents lower to $3.815; Gulf Coast down $0.006 to $3.734; Rocky Mountain gasoline fell nearly 2 cents to $3.819 and West Coast fell 2 cents to $3.942.
