Gasoline and Diesel Weekly: Farm Diesel Creeps Higher

Farm Diesel --

Farm diesel moved 3 1/4 cents higher with 8 of the 12 states in our Index unchanged. Iowa adds 7 cents to end the report week at $3.37 and Missouri farm diesel rallied 12 cents to $3.34 while Michigan creeped 1 cent higher to $3.46, tying Indiana for the highest priced farm diesel in our Index this week. The regionwide low came in at $3.23 in the state of Wisconsin, unchanged for three straight weeks.

Gasoline-

The retail price for regular gasoline softened a penny during the report week to a national average of $3.550 -- 19 1/2 cents below year-ago.

East Coast gasoline softened 1 1/2 cents to $3.554; Midwest rose 2 1/4 cents to $3.501; Gulf coast 1 1/2 cents lower to $3.373; Rocky Mountain region falls 1/2 cent to $3.639 and West Coast gasoline 6 1/4 cents lower at $3.778.

Highway Diesel --

The national average price of highway diesel firmed 1/2 cent to $3.900 -- 12 1/2 cents above year-ago.

East Coast highway diesel firms 1/2 cent this week to $3.912; Midwest softened 1/2 cent to $3.868; Gulf coast down 1/4 cent to $3.822; Rocky Mountain diesel fell 1 cent to $3.920 and West Coast highway diesel up 1 1/4 cent to $4.057.
