Gasoline and Diesel Weekly: Farm Diesel Rolls Higher

Farm Diesel --

Farm diesel moved just over 3 cents higher this week with 7 of the 12 states in our Index unchanged. The biggest move was a 17 cent increase in South Dakota to $3.62; Kansas farm diesel moved 14 cents higher to $3.50 during the report week and we expect more of the same from unchanged states next week. Missouri added 8 cents to $3.45 while two more pennies were added in Minnesota to $3.53.

Gasoline-

The retail price for regular gasoline softened 4 cents during the report week to a national average of $3.547 -- 33 cents below year-ago.

East Coast gasoline fell 5 1/2 cents to $3.531; Midwest fell 8 1/2 cents to $3.489; Gulf coast 7 1/2 cents lower to $3.301; Rocky Mountain region fell 2 cents to $3.612 and West Coast gasoline 10 1/4 cents higher at $3.900.

Highway Diesel --

The national average price of highway diesel fell 3/4 cents to $3.974 -- 16 cents below year-ago.

East Coast highway diesel falls nine tenths this week to $3.979; Midwest down 3/4 cent to $3.979; Gulf coast up nine tenths to $3.889; Rocky Mountain diesel moved 3/4 cent higher to $3.941 and West Coast highway diesel retreats 1 1/4 cents to $4.032.
