Farm Diesel -- nozzle

Farm diesel fell $0.001 during the report week to $3.423/gallon according to Inputs Monitor data. Eight of the twelve states in our index are unchanged, most for the second or third straight week.

Kansas and Nebraska continue to battle for the lowest farm diesel price in the Midwest with Nebraska unchanged at $3.29, followed closely by Kansas which added 2 cents this week to end at $3.31/gallon.

All movement -- both to the upside and downside -- was within 2 cents with the exception of a 6 cent move downward in Michigan to $3.31. Wisconsin and Minnesota each add a penny -- Kansas up 2 cents. All others were unchanged.

These prices suggest a seasonal low may be in place. Eight of the Twelve states in the Index are unchanged with only three of twelve posting increases. Consult your budget and your local pricing as now may be a good time to book some farm diesel for sidedress or for fall.
