Farm Diesel -- nozzle

Farm diesel moved 1/2 cent higher during the report week to $3.38/gallon according to Inputs Monitor data with three of the twelve states in our Index unchanged. The price at the same time last year was $3.31 -- 7 cents below today's price.

The Dakotas each enjoyed double digit reductions in farm diesel pricing, but the falloff was from levels at the top of our Index range. We believe farm diesel is headed decidedly higher starting last week and have advised to fill a healthy portion of your fall needs. Both Dakotas are now at $3.49 with only Illinois priced higher at $3.50.

Iowa added 9 cents to $3.30, Nebraska up 8 cents to $3.36, Minnesota adds 7 cents to $3.43 and Missouri throws in 5 cents of its own, up a nickel to $3.21, but edges out Wisconsin for the lowest priced farm diesel in our Index.
