Farm Diesel -- nozzle

Farm diesel moved $0.017 lower during the report week to $3.410/gallon according to Inputs Monitor data with five of the twelve states in our Index unchanged.

South Dakota led decliners by dropping 8 cents to $3.34. Missouri added eight cents per gallon -- the only week-over increase in our Index this week.

Nebraska softened another penny to hold the least expensive farm diesel in our Index at $3.27/gallon. Kansas and Iowa square off for second place at $3.31 and $3.32/gallon respectively -- Kansas unchanged week-over.

The largest gain was a one cent increase in Minnesota to $3.45.

Muddy fields are keeping demand for farm diesel low in some parts while drier areas have completed spring fieldwork, weakening demand there. Once the weather straightens out, we expect demand for farm diesel to increase and prices may respond with an uptick.
