Gettysburg: Battle on the Family Farm

On July 5, "AgDay" presents a special episode remembering the farm families whose lives were forever changed by the historic Battle of Gettysburg.

This week marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, the largest and bloodiest battle ever fought in the United States. Roughly 165,000 American soldiers clashed during the three-day battle, resulting in 51,000 casualties.

But it wasn't just the soldiers who suffered. Farm families who lived in and around the battlefield were also changed forever. With fields left trampled and barns emptied of hay, many of those farms were left devastated.

It's those families that "AgDay" will be remembering on July 5. Tune in to your local station to watch this very special episode.
