GROWMARK Cookbook Proceeds Support Farmers Feeding the World

December 13, 2012 10:28 PM

Farm Journal Foundation announced today that GROWMARK has made a donation to Farmers Feeding the World over and above its multi-year partnership with the anti-hunger and agriculture education initiative. The donation comes from the sales of a special cookbook created to celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives. GROWMARK employees and friends contributed their favorite recipes for the popular cookbook.

GROWMARK’s sponsorship enables Farmers Feeding the World to continue its efforts to protect modern agriculture’s ability to produce the most abundant, affordable and safest food supply in the world. Such efforts include the HungerU mobile educational exhibit, which travels to colleges, universities and large festivals across the country, and the "FFA: Food For All" grant program, which funds FFA chapters to implement sustainable hunger solutions and education about agriculture in their local communities.

"GROWMARK’s generosity and creative programs are a shining example of what members of the agriculture community can achieve when we come together to face a challenge like hunger," said Charlene Finck, Farm Journal Foundation president. "GROWMARK’s continued support of Farmers Feeding the World stems from our shared commitment to farmers and ranchers, and we are thankful for their partnership."
