On September 22, John Deere produced its 500,000th Gator utility vehicle.
In 1987 when John Deere first built utility machines that preceded the Gator's design and creation. Then in 1993, John Deere launched its Gator utility vehicle. Today, there are 17 Gator models for agriculture, construction, turf care and recreation customers as well as the military.
Although Deere manufactured at other locations in the past, the utility vehicles are now exclusively designed and built in Horicon, Wisconsin.
