Head to Southern Minnesota with Machinery Pete

April 27, 2011 06:53 AM

It may have been cold and rainy weather on April 26 in Luverne, MInn. but the auction prices were hot. Machinery Pete was on hand for this auction that was pulled together in less than two weeks after an unfortunate family dispute led to this farm sale.

Two tractors were of high interest:  a 1990 JD 4455 2WD Tractor with 1,372 Hours and a 1984 JD 8450 4WD tractor with 4,485 hours.
On a typical sale, Machinery Pete would say the 4455 would go for mid-$40,000. But with auction prices going through the roof in the past month or so, his pre-auction guess was more $50,000. Watch the video below to see how his prediction panned out.
