Fall means frost! Has Jack Frost visited your farm yet?
If you’re wondering when and where frost has struck around the U.S., there’s a resource that helps answer those questions. The Midwestern Regional Climate Center includes freeze maps as a part of its “Frost/Freeze Guidance” products.
Here’s the group’s latest freeze map as of October 22. (The map updates daily.)
Significant areas in the Corn Belt have yet to see a first frost, including areas in central Illinois, central and western Indiana, western Iowa, eastern Nebraska and most of Kansas and Missouri.
