Markup session likely next Wednesday.

Usually reliable contacts signal that the House Ag Committee will likely unveil its new farm bill proposal on Thursday, with a slight chance the date could move to Friday.

A markup session by the House Ag panel will likely be held next Wednesday, sources add.

The House bill is expected to include a farmer-choice option between the controversial Ag Risk Coverage (ARC) program and a target price/counter-cyclical payment program, with target price levels above those suggested by two senators last week and near the levels signaled in last fall's ill-fated farm bill language that was tied to the aborted Super Committee process.
