Keeping The Upside Open At Harvest

September 30, 2017 05:03 AM

As harvest rolls in the Corn Belt, there are some farmers who will have to sell their crop from the combine.

On U.S. Farm Report, Dustin Johnson, a broker with eHedger tells AgDay host Clinton Griffiths there are other options for farmers besides delayed price contracts and commercial storage.

“That’s been a high cost thing that hasn’t really played out,” he said.

John Payne, senior broker of Daniels Trading and, is looking ahead to the October 12th USDA reports.

“If the market breaks in soybeans and it comes back, we might have seen a low for a while,” he said.
