Labor Shortages Impacting CA Harvest

As Congress debates an immigration reform bill, farmers in California are faced with a labor shortage that is threatening their harvest.  An aging workforce plus an improved Mexican economy coupled with a sluggish U.S. economy are some of the factors leading to worker shortages.  Bryan Little, Director of Labor Affairs for the California Farm Bureau, says labor shortages as much as 30% are being reported and could have long term implications.
