Land Sale of the Week: $10,736/a in Southwest Indiana

A Wednesday auction saw 98 acres of Posey County, Ind., farmland sell for $10,736 an acre. The farm was located five miles east of Wadesville and offered 70.5 tillable acres. The balance was mostly wooded. In addition, 50 acres was zone R-1. On a per-tillable-acre basis, the ground sold for about $14,894 an acre.

The farm was offered as seven tracts but sold to the long-time tenant as a single unit.
