Land Sale of the Week: $11,750/a in Central Illinois

The Decatur area of Illinois saw solid demand for quality cropland earlier this month. The auction occurred May 1, during planting season, featuring 164 acres in Macon County. The two tracts of 82 acres each was located northwest of Warrensburg.

Each tract brought $11,750 even though they were offered separately. Tract 1 carried a soil productivity index (PI) of 140.8. The maximum PI, per Illinois Bulletin 811, is 147. Tract 2 had a PI of 141.8.

Handling the auction was Sullivan Auctioneers, LLC, Hamilton, Ill., 217-847-2160.
