Land Sale of the Week: $12,000/acre in Western Illinois

Thursday, Dec. 1, saw 80 acres of high-quality Illinois farmland sell for $12,000 an acre. The farm was located about 2 miles southwest of Galva in Knox County. It had 77 tillable acres and featured a soil PI of 137.5 versus the maximum 147 rating per Bulletin 811.

A second tract brought $11,300 an acre. It consisted of 39 acres with 37 acres tillable and carried a soil PI of 136.3.

Handling the auction was Sullivan Auctioneers, Hamilton, Ill., 844-847-2161.
