Land Sale of the Week: $2,594 to $3,886/a in Southeast Indiana

A June 27 auction saw 512.5 acres located in Switzerland Co., Ind., bring a total of $1,761,000. The offering included a four-acre farmstead. Tracts 1 through 3 were located northeast of Center Square. Tracts 4 through 9, including the country home and farmstead, were located 2.5 miles north of Vevay.

Tracts 1-3: 283 total acres with 245 acres tillable, balance wooded, sold for $3,886 per acre.

Tracts 4,5,7, and 9: 225.5 acres with a mixture of tillable, pasture and wooded acre, sold for $2,594 per acre.

The country home brought $42,000 and the machine sheds sold for $34,000.
