Land Sale of the Week: $4,748/a in Central Oklahoma

A June 26 auction saw 520 acres of McClain County, Okla., pasture, timber and tillable land pass under the gavel for a total of $2,468,960. The land was located north of Washington and west of Purcell. It was offered in 23 tracts.

A few tracts offered excellent building site potential. A 12-acre tract with a mix of hardwood timber and pasture featuring a spring-fed pond sold for $9,966 an acre. Two tracts of 13 acres in total located on a corner of the property with elevation and an extensive panoramic view sold together for a combined $12,160 an acre.

The other tracts ranged from a low of $2,600 an acre to $6,663 an acre.
