Mike Walsten

Firm prices resulted at the recent of auction of three high-quality farms in the bootheel of Missouri. The auction occurred April 17 and featured a total of 570 acres ten miles northeast of New Madrid in New Madrid County, MO. Auctions are somewhat rare in the Delta so that rarity added to the uniqueness of these sales.

Farm 2: 243.5 acres, all tillable. It brought $6,300 per acre.

Farm 3: 247 acres, all tillable. It also sold for $6,300 per acre.

Bill Shannon, AFM, Farmers National Company, Jonesboro, Ark., handled the sale. 870-933-9700.
