Land Sale of the Week: $9,200 per acre in Northwest Iowa

A flat, nearly all tillable 77 acres in Pocahontas County, Iowa, sold Aug. 18 for $9,200 an acre. The farm was located about six miles east of Varina and offered 75 tillable acres. A drainage ditch bordered by CRP filter strips cut through the northeast corner. The cropland CSR2 on the farm was 82.9 versus a county average cropland CSR2 of 85.1.
