Land Sale of the Week: $9,200/acre in Northwest Iowa

An Aug. 24 auction in Palo Alto Co., Iowa, saw 80 acres sell for $9,200 an acre. The tract was a part of a larger offering totaling 329 acres. The tracts were located about four miles west of Ayrshire.

Tract 1: 184 acres; 88 acres tillable; cropland CSR2 73.1 (81.5 county cropland average CSR2); farmstead; pasture; marsh; open water flows through to Silver Lake; $5,000 per acre.

Tract 2: 80 acres; 77 acres tillable; CSR2 85.6; $9,200 per acre.

Tract 3: 65 acres; 64 acres tillable; CSR2 82.5; $8,550 per acre.
