Land Sale of the Week: Jackson Co., Minnesota

While there are plenty of signs of a slow down in farmland demand, that's not currently the case in southwest Minnesota. The case in point is a private treaty sale completed in January.

The property featured 81 acres, 78 of which were tillable. The late sported good quality with a PI of 94 (maximum is 100). The ground itself was located west of Lakefield in Jackson County.

Selling price: $14,103 an acre.

And in Murry County prices are between 3,000 and 5,000 per acre.
