Learning Session: Buy What You Need

Purchasing a precision farming system shouldn't be about saving money, it should be about investing in equipment that will benefit your operation.
"Too often producers will try to save a few dollars on their precision equipment, only to realize that they didn't buy what they needed, or for a little more they would get additional features that they do need,” says Wade Stewart from AutoFarm. Stewart was a featured speaker at this year's Top Producer Seminar, being held this week in Chicago.
The key, according to Stewart, is to invest in equipment that will give you the information you need, and equipment that will grow with your operation. "The right equipment will provide immediate payback to your operation,” Stewart says.
