Lineup Adds Steering System, Drainage Solution and Combine Guidance

Adding to its precision ag products, Trimble introduces Ez-Pilot, WM-Drain and RG-100.

The Trimble EZ-Pilot is an assisted steering system that can be installed using the original steering wheel on approved vehicles. The Ez-Pilot can be used with the CFX-750 display or the FmX integrated display. The steering system uses the Trimble T3 Enhanced Terrain Compensation Technology to adjust to and compensate for rough terrain or slopes and hillsides. The compatibility with telescoping steering wheels allows users to adjust the steering wheel up or down based on personal preference and fit. The Ez-Pilot is outfitted with a higher torque motor that provides better steering of vehicles with more rigid power steering systems, such as floaters. If the original steering wheel is not compatible, an optional wheel is available.

WM-Drain combines new and existing Trimble technology to provide a complete system for drainage design and field operations. WM-Drain includes Enhanced Farm Works Surface software for 3-D analysis and design of surface and sub-surface drains. The software can be used to verify that water will drain from the field effectively. In the field, a WM-Drain module for the Trimble FmX integrated display manages high-accuracy, automatic installation and mapping of the drainage pipe. WM-Drain uses the T3 Enhanced Terrain Compensation Technology to compensate for vehicle roll. The system also integrates pitch control on a parallel link or double link style drainage machine for more accurate drain installation. WM-Drain can add the Trimble Connected Farm solutions to wirelessly transfer information from the field to the office and back again.

To easily stay on the row when harvesting, the RG-100 row guidance uses sensors on the combine head to signal the Autopilot steering system when to adjust to changes in the corn rows. It centers the combine head on straight, curved, or hillside rows. The RG-100 fits into the Trimble Yield Monitoring that allows growers to track the amount of grain loaded onto the trucks in the field and wirelessly transfer the information back to the office to reconcile yield records using Farm Works software. The complete Yield Monitoring package includes a moisture sensor and cable, CAN module, optical yield sensors and header height cable. Growers may purchase a partial package that does not include a moisture sensor if they want to utilize the existing OEM-installed moisture sensor. Trimble Yield Monitoring can be installed on a wide range of combines.

The EZ-Pilot assisted steering system starts at $3995. WM-Drain farm drainage solution costs $1,995 for the passcode unlock for the FmX integrated display. (Other products, software and passcodes are required. Please see a Trimble dealer for specifics.)

RG-100 row guidance costs $1,500 for the passcode unlock for the FmX integrated display (Additional cabling is required. Please see a Trimble dealer for specifics.)
