Lofty Soybean Inspections Within Expectations

Following are highlights of the Weekly Grain Export Inspections Report for the week ended Nov. 1, 2012:

Comments:

Inspections were up about 1 million bu. from last week's tally and below expectations. Inspections are running 36.9% behind year-ago compared to 36.6% behind last week. USDA's 2012-13 export forecast is at 25.5% below the previous marketing year at 1.150 billion bushels.

Wheat

Comments:

Inspections were up around 4.3 million bu. from last week's tally and within expectations. Inspections are running 12.4% below year-ago, compared to 12.8% behind last week. USDA's export forecast for the 2012-13 marketing year is at 1.150 billion bu., up 9.5% from the previous marketing year.

Soybeans

Comments:

Export inspections were down around 4.5 million bu. from last week's tally and within expectations. Inspections for the new marketing year are running 42.1% ahead of year-ago, compared to 48.7% ahead last week. USDA's 2012-13 export forecast is at 1.265 billion bu., down 7.0% from year-ago.
