Bobcat 3400

Primed for Productivity

With the release of the 3400 and 3400XL, Bobcat expands its lineup of side-by-side utility vehicles. The three-seat 3400 and six-seat 3400XL boast a constant variable transmission, four-wheel-drive system and power steering. Engine configurations include a 40-hp gas or a 24-hp diesel, which allow for speeds up to 40 mph with a dealer-installed kit. The gas units sport an electronic fuel injection system, and the diesel units have automatic glow plugs to adjust to colder starting temperatures.

An adjustable independent front dual A-arm suspension and an adjustable rear de Dion multi-link suspension system provides a more comfortable ride, tighter turning radius, increased payload capacity and more stability when towing. All four wheels move independently, maintaining good contact with the ground for maximum traction.

Both models feature a 7" longer cargo box than previous models and a 1,250-lb. payload capacity. The 3400 sports a 1,900-lb. towing capacity and the 3400XL has a 2,150-lb. towing capacity. Two 12-volt plug-ins come standard to charge phones and other devices.

Exapta Mojo Wire for Flo-Rite

Achieve Precise Seed Placement

Exapta Solutions releases three updated or new products with the goal of helping farmers achieve precise seed placement and ultimately higher crop yields.

The Mojo Wire kit has been streamlined for dry Keeton seed firmer tails. The kit eliminates the need for plastic blocks, so the wire clamps directly onto the firmer. The upshot is faster assembly and a 55% price savings. The additional tension provides the ability to wipe off mud on the furrow sidewall. In addition, the extra pressure provides more uniform emergence. (The liquid-ready Keeton tails still need the blocks to hold the plastic tubing.) Price: $9.

The new Mojo Wire available for Flo-Rite seed firmers applies two to five times more pressure to ensure faster germination. It fits both the universal (wrap-around or scraper-mount) Flo-Rites and the style that straps directly to the seed tube. Price: $9.

An improved seed bounce flap for John Deere 50, 60, and 90 drills features a forward bend to help close the triangular gap caused with straight flaps. This 20° forward bend helps keep more seeds in the furrow and also helps deflect seeds downward into the furrow bottom before dust and chunks of sidewall fall in ahead of the seed. This results in better seed placement. Price: $4.63 for flaps that include the bolt.
