Greg Peterson built his business by finding voids and inefficiencies in the used equipment market. MachineryPete.com is now the top and fastest-growing used farm equipment website in the market today, helping match equipment buyers to used equipment across the country.
Peterson says the same desire to streamline things and answer voids in the market is now moving to farm shows. His desire to make farm shows more efficient has been a dream of his for 15 years.
“Here's the deal: back in 2005, I had the idea in my head that, we as agriculture, we love farm shows; it's fun to go and see equipment and meet people,” he says.” “But 15 years ago, I thought ‘this is super inefficient.’”
Peterson says that’s when they built a database of over 5500 manufactures and broke down every type of equipment they make. Today, he’s using a similar concept to put a modern touch on farm shows with the “Machinery Pete Pavilion” during the debut of “Farm Journal Field Days.”
“This Machinery Pete Pavilion will begin to scratch the itch of putting in place a list of companies– and not just a list–we want to go far beyond that and get into video,” says Peterson. “Now, when companies do their product demos – just like Kinze is doing this week by showing their 4905 in the field–we'll pull that together and create one spot, so it's there for you 24/7/365. You can now find out anything about machinery, and it should be fun.”
Machinery Pete says that’s why he’s excited about Farm Journal recently announcing the launch of a major new “COVID-conscious” farm show experience called Farm Journal Field Days, set for Aug. 25-27, 2020.
The interactive Farm Journal Field Days includes a three-day Virtual Pavilion, including a Machinery Pete Pavilion, that runs concurrent with full-day on-farm demonstrations and programming. The more than 100 informational sessions align with key interests and needs of the crop and livestock sectors.
The exciting #FJFieldDays agenda, designed to incorporate all the elements important to you, make this event a must-attend.
