Accommodating Transformation

Flexible seating and cargo configurations are featured on Kubota's four-wheel-drive RTV1140CPX utility vehicle. The expanded cargo space converts to create room for two rows of seating instead of one, and the conversion rail system is mounted on an OSHA-compliant rollover protection structure for a simple three-step transition. The vehicle is powered by a three-cylinder 24.8-hp Kubota diesel engine and outfitted with four-wheel wet disk brakes and hydraulic power steering. A hydraulic lift bed is standard. Maximum cargo load is 1,102 lb.; towing capacity is 1,300 lb. Base price: $15,675. Contact: a Kubota dealer;

Flexible Auger

With its double-jointed design, the MK Flex portable grain auger from Westfield Industries provides a new way to move grain. The swing-away auger can reach and retract further, and both hoppers on a 54' grain trailer can be reached without repositioning the truck. The MK Flex is built with a 13" tube diameter and is available in lengths of 71', 81', 91' and 111'. The auger features a hydraulically controlled swivel boot, handlebar controls and hopper mover. Base list price: $24,854. Contact: Westfield Industries, P.O. Box 39, Rosenort, MB, ROG 1W0; (866) 467-7207;

Double-Basket Design With Wider Widths

With two new models, Unverferth Manufacturing expands the working widths of its Rolling Harrow soil conditioners. Models 225 and 1225 offer a range of 47' to 63' widths and are built on a five-section frame with vertical fold. The design allows for narrow transport and features standard wing transport wheels. The soil conditioners deliver triple-action seedbed preparation. They can be equipped with optional straight spike-tooth, diagonal round-tooth or coil-tine leveling bars. Base prices: Model 225, $31,200; Model 1225, $34,800. Contact: an Unverferth dealer; P.O. Box 357, Kalida, OH 45853; (800) 322-6301;

Increased Power Range

With the addition of the 7530 model, the John Deere 7030 Premium tractor series tops out at 152 PTO hp. The 7530 Premium is powered by a 6.8-liter John Deere PowerTech Plus engine. The tractor is suited for operating small planters, doing tillage chores and haymaking. An updated CommandCenter controls the 29 gal. per minute closed-center, pressure-and-flow compensated hydraulic system. Fuel-saving options include a 540E/1,000/1,000E PTO and Infinitely Variable Transmission. An independent Triple Link Suspension system can be added to improve tractor comfort and performance. Base price: $121,429. Contact: a John Deere dealer; (866) 993-3373;

Two Functions on One Machine

Built on a compact frame, the Branson Multi-Task tractor with fork lift converts into an all-terrain fork lift, as well. The single-stage fork lift mounts on a detachable carriage that can be replaced with a three-point hitch. An independent PTO hitch supports a mower, snowblower, post-hole digger or brush cutter. The two available models are powered by 35-hp or 47-hp diesel engines and have a 2,800-lb. lift capacity. With a lift height of 10', the units are 66.5" wide to maneuver in tight spaces. Features include a reversed operator platform, three-range hydrostatic drivetrains and the ability to disengage four-wheel drive. Base price range: $34,731 to $37,930. Adjustable Tedder Options

A new line of hay tedders from Frontier Equipment comes in 18'2" and 27' widths. The TD2418 and TD2427 evenly distribute crops and reduce drying time. Units have four or six baskets, each with seven tine arms that adjust to conditions and limit ground contact. An electronic spacer washer adjusts the tine pitch, and the axles can be set at an angle to tedder field edges. Both models feature hydraulic tilt and transport; rotors have enclosed gearboxes and tilt cylinder. Base prices: TD2418, $9,875; TD2427, $20,000. Contact: a John Deere dealer;
